Profile Miss Yu Zhou (pronounced 'you zoo'; in China the family name is written first and the given name second) was a student at Bejing University and regularly performed in the thriving cosmopolitan city, which was recently the fabulous host to the Olympic games. More recently, Zhou studied at Birmingham Conservatoire in the United Kingdom. Zhou has set up a music studio in an historic mill at Oakerthorpe, in Derbyshire, and teaches singing. Zhou is re-launching her performing career, and the UK debut performance concert at Cedar Park is an opportunity for you to experience a top class soprano.
The concert Zhou will be performing classical singing, featuring operatic songs and arias. Some of Zhou's students will also be contributing. Iain Jackson from the Birmingham Conservatoire will be accompanying on the piano.

In Derby you can pick up tickets and pay by cash or cheque at Middle Mill Studios in Darley Abbey. Please phone first. There may be a limited number of tickets available on the door on the night of the concert but cannot be guaranteed.
About the concert hall Cedar Park Concert Hall is a modern purpose-built performing area with raised staging and a superb grand piano. There is free car-parking right outside the hall.
