b-kool children's birthday party photo-shoots are ideal for 8-10 year olds in parties of between 5-12

The total time is two hours, which includes the photoshoot, and a picnic in the studio. You don't need a party-bag, as each child takes home a beautiful photograph of themselves, which everyone will value in years to come

Children can show off their special clothes, and also have some fun, playing with toys, jumping with balloons, using party-poppers and dressing up during the photography

The picnic

Whilst the prints are being made, the children have a picnic in the studio of sandwiches, fruit and drink (we look for healthy food, prepared by local suppliers)

Entertainment

Whilst the children are having the picnic, they will be entertained in an appropriate way

The photograph

The photograph is made into a vibrant, colourful print and put into a presentation art folder, ready for the children to take home

The team

Nigel Tissington (who is a grand-parent) has photographed portraits for children in studios in Derby and London, in playgroups, nurseries and schools, and in-store projects over many years

Press work for local authorities has lead Nigel to work with children in press and documentary photography throughout Derbyshire

Nigel has also taught children in primary school (as part of out-reach programmes in Adult Education for Derbyshire County Council)

The food is sourced from reliable local suppliers, and Nigel is assisted by a female colleague throughout the shoot

Parents and carers

Parents or carers may stay in the studio during the shoot

Prices

The price for each child is £20. This includes a 5x7 inch print in an art folder, a picnic including a drink, balloons and party poppers. You may bring your own cake

Terms

We request £50 as a booking fee, with the balance on the day of the party

Viewing

Parents are welcome to arrange a viewing about week later, to see all the pictures on our large screen and order extra prints if they would like

Extra prints

Prints are lovingly made at the mill, hand-finished on the finest art paper, using pigments for archival quality, in an art folder
